About Curtis B:Biography
Curtis B born Brighton Jeranyama was born on 24 June 1993. He started his music career in 2008 performing in school clubs and writing songs about HIV and AIDS and also about human rights. He became a recording artist in 2010 when he recorded his first song at Luprosy studio.
He was later signed by 6 O’clock music studio where he got the golden opportunity to record his 12 track album titled One Day in 2012 which opened up doors for him. He worked with 6 O’clock from 2011 to 2013 until he became independent in 2014. He has featured on a reggae riddim compilation alongside Nutty O, Ras Caleb, Falcan, Spider-Man. He got nominated in the Zim dancehall Awards in the best Conscious cate-gory alongside Ras Caleb, Tocky Vybz, Jerry B, Kinnah.
He later joined Backyard Vybz sounds where he spent most of his time as a soundman and an MC. In 2016 he shared the stage with inter-national artists like Chris Martin, D Wayno, Romain Virgo and Busy Signal. He also worked with Streets Music which was under Movy Dee. Curtis B also worked with Forcy Victacks, Night Play Records , Phil Padlove, Tala music, Chillspot, Mount Zion and Russo.
He released Juke box in 2019 which had 9 singles, one of the singles reached 40k views on social media platforms. Curtis B’s image was enhanced internationally after he got airplay on Eagles Nest Radio in Arizona (USA). That later led to collaborations with Spragdocious from the United kingdom, Tazz Marray and Rudebwoi Duse both from South Africa.2020 has opened up his career locally as he now gets airplay on local stations like Zi FM, Star FM and Power FM. Currently he has his own brand of music known as Unlimited Posi-tive/ Powerful Music (UPM) which he is expecting to grow into a household name
